Stage 2 Open
Some operational changes are necessary as we enter this part of the Governor’s plan. Until we are given the ability to lift restrictions further, these practices will be observed:
Maximum patron occupancy is 5 people at a time.
Everyone inside the building is required to wear a mask.
Use hand sanitizer provided upon entering.
Observe social distancing guidelines of 6 feet.
Only one family group permitted in the children’s area at a time.
Signs outside and inside alert you to the things we need you to do differently. Please take the time to read all signage, and if you have a question don’t hesitate to ask. We'll be keeping windows open for maximum air flow regardless of outside temperature. If it's chilly out, bring a sweater! At this time, the Maine State Library has not resumed interlibrary loan services. Tentative start date is in July. If you are unable to come into the building and need our services, please contact us via 348-2899 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll make arrangements to meet your needs. You can also check out our curbside page here. For our friends coming to Maine from elsewhere, please self-quarantine for the 14 days required by Governor Mills. You can avail yourself of our services once your quarantine is complete.
As we’ve all seen, circumstances change rapidly, and our ability to adjust and adapt swiftly is important. If any changes to our operation are needed, we’ll do our best to inform you quickly. If you would like to receive our email newsletter, let us know and we'll add you to the list. We'll also update here and our facebook page.
I'm not Mona Lisa, but thanks to some friends that are handy with a sewing machine, I'll be wearing a mask when you visit. Bonus points if you can tell when I'm smiling!
